Meet the new Damned drummer.....Jon Moss.
Jon, born on September 11, 1957, in Wandsworth , London, had previously played with Eskimo Norbert (who???- Dont Care), briefly with The Clash and then with the punk band called London.
"From London on, I'd seen Captain around. The next thing I heard was that Rat had gone completely off his head and tried to throw himself out of a window. The obvious contender for the job was me. I had about a week to rehearse at Shepperton, and that was the first time I met Dave properly. I wasn't quite sure if he was being serious or not. He had a big black fedora and cape and his make-up, but the thing is, he's not weird at all and that's what's so weird about him." - Jon Moss
The future Culture Club drummer joins after 50 auditioners prove useless:
"Most of the people who phoned were cunts. First thing we asked was "are you the best drummer in the world?" If they paused, we hung up." - Captain Sensible
